Park winters wedding // Midnight Blue Celestial Wedding Styled Shoot
FEATURED IN: HEY WEDDING LADY
The inspiration for this shoot originated with the gorgeous bridal gown Willow by Orion and its embroidered sea of stars and celestial-inspired design. We sought to inspire the modern bohemian bride with a bold, colorful palette consisting of deep blue hues, royal reds, muted icy greys and brilliant gold accents.
The vibrant color palette contrasted beautifully against the lush foliage and blooming garden backdrop of the private estate venue Park Winters.
I started our shoot photographing the table-scape on the lawn with gorgeous natural light illuminating the area. Rich blues, warm reds, icy greys, and golds made the table-scape. The wooden table elements pop, creating an incredible celestial palette. Rentals from Lux Rentals and Event Design and The Chiavari Guys completed the scene with the perfect shade of blue plates complemented by gold chargers, teal water goblets, golden crescent edge chairs, gold cutlery, and gold-rimmed glassware to give the scene a romantic feel … whisking us away to the romantic evening we envisioned, brought so perfectly to life.
The floral design of Le Bloomerie made the table come to life with beautiful floral arrangements packed with greenery and accents of red peonies, yellow ranunculus and blue delphiniums and a hand-painted watercolor invitation suite by Pigment and Parchment transport us to a whimsical, bohemian dream.
The cake table presented more on the modern side. It was covered in a dark, navy blue velvet table runner and a dusty blue sheer underlay from Party Crush Studio. The gorgeous three-tier cake mimicked the marble design brought throughout the shoot, was hand painted by Etta Avenue Cakes, who incorporated a delicate texture that could not be overlooked!
The ceremony site was surrounded by towering lush trees and a ton of beautiful, green foliage. We kept the reception simple and whimsical with gold chairs, a macramé rug, florals accentuated on top of custom, hand-made, white and teal dream catchers created by Aly from Shop Wild Cotton.
Nick styled our outdoor lounge with modern furniture and decor including a collection of gold lanterns, a blue velvet chair, and shades of blue velvet pillows to complement the table runners on the table-scape and the ribbons on the gorgeous bouquet. The bright and bold floral arrangement gave an amazing contrast to the hammered brass table!
Of course no wedding is complete without a stunning bride and her groom. Models Michelle and Kevin are so sweet together and yes, they are married in real life! Their visible connection gave the photos a little extra special love. The sweet bride glowed in her designer Willows Orion gown from Brides of California, a starry romantic lace gown complemented by the gorgeous golden hair pins handcrafted by Blair Nadeau. Generation Tux provided the groom’s tux, which complimented the bride and matched perfectly with our color palette.
Olivia Garvin was our makeup artist for our shoot; she highlighted Michelle’s natural beauty with bold lashes and a soft, pink lip that brought the look together!
