Livermore Engagement Session, CA // Christina + Zach
This engagement session has been quick becomes one of my favorites of all time. For the session we planned for something casual with a romantic feel. Christina & Zach love the outdoors so they knew that they wanted their session to be a reflective of that. They wanted to include some beautiful views and golden light. We drove up to the top of these beautiful rolling hills in Livermore, found the perfect spot surrounded by gorgeous trees and such an amazing overlook. It was such a fun time exploring with these two.
From the bride:
How we met and fell in love: Zach and I met back in 2013 working together at Bank Of West. The moment I laid eyes on him, I instantly developed a crush. He was perfect. He came over to introduce himself and I was so nervous to talk to him. My second day on the job we walked over to the coffee shop next door and he paid for my coffee. That made me wonder, hmmm does he like me too? Or maybe he’s just a super nice guy. For two years, we pretty much saw each other all day five days a week and my crush only got deeper. There were days were I felt like he was flirting with me, but I told myself I was imagining what I wanted to believe haha. I never got the courage to tell him how I felt when we were working together nor did he, partially because we didn’t want to embarrass ourselves and then have to see the other everyday. Eventually Zach left the company and I thought, this is my shot. We made arrangements to met up at a Sublime With Rome concert. Zach found me at the concert and suggested we go to his seats because he had a better view there. I agreed and he grabbed my hand. That’s when I knew, yes he likes me too ahhhhh!!!! :) ! So many butterflies. We made plans to go on our first date a week later and have been inseparable ever since. When our coworkers found out, their response was “What took so long!” haha! Guess they could see the love connection between us all along.
About their proposal:
We had just moved into our first place together a few weeks prior. It’s was a normal weeknight, or so I thought. We just finished having dinner and Zach asked me if i felt like doing a puzzle, so I said yes, sure why not. We love doing puzzles and even have a couple of them framed. So he pulls out this small box but won’t let me look at the photograph to get an idea of what we’re assembling. I immediately wondered what he was up to..... but started putting the pieces together. When the puzzle was finished, it was a beautiful photograph of Portugal with the words “Will You Marry Me?”. He got down on one knee and proposed with his great grandmothers ring and of course I cried and said YES!
Hair & Makeup:
I decided to go with a soft makeup look but still wanted a little sparkle. Some eyelashes to bring out the eyes and lipstick. I love lipstick, you will hardly ever see me without a pop of color on my lips. I normally wear my hair straight, so I knew I wanted to change it up a little for the photos, and who doesn’t love curls, can’t go wrong with that.
